Journal Quilt Effort

If I managed to get a picture uploaded you should be seeing one of my latest journal quilts. It is a picture that I took in my backyard of the snow covered cedars. We had a large flock of beautiful Cedar Waxwings visit our trees a couple of weeks ago so I decided to fuse a few Cedar Waxwings into the trees. The photo was printed on fabric and then I attempted to merge hand dyed fabric above and below my photo since it did not fit the size that I wanted. Fibers of flax were fused to the bottom and silk fibers were fused in the sky area. I rather enjoy the results.
