This card was created by needle punching dyed wool roving onto a batting and then freehand machine quilting it in a circle pattern. Then a felted circular piece was attached to add a focal point. 
This piece is painted tyvek with dyed cheesecloth added and then melted with a heat gun and ironed. The red peaking through the holes is an underlying piece of hand dyed red fabric.
